Designed and curated by Rural Aesthetic Initiative, The Traveling Museum functions as a mobile project space for public art.
Pop up gallery exhibitions, didactic art activities, happenings, individual artist projects, and mobile art residencies are all feasible within the Museum’s efficient fish house inspired architecture. We bring contemporary art places it never gets to go.
What is Rural Aesthetic Initiative? Rural Aesthetic Initiative is the collaborative team of Lisa Bergh and Andrew Nordin. Based in the small community of New London Minnesota, we engage in a multi-faceted dialogue that revolves around curating and facilitating public art experiences for the greater Minnesota community. Our intention is to generate curiosity while inspiring broader public interest in the visual arts. Previous Rural Aesthetic Initiative projects include: ARThouse, a phantom residential exhibition venue and the Inheritance of Location video kiosk.
